Now that Fall is pretty much over in the northeast, I'm finding comfort in cute coats to help me get through our long winters! This one has been online for a while, and I was convinced to purchase after seeing it look super cute on a friend. It's fully lined with pockets, the material is warm, and the belted wrap style is forgiving and flattering on all body types. With the extra discount this weekend it's around just $60, and is very good quality for a coat at that price point. I packed it recently for Napa and wore it several times over various outfits!
This jacket just became available this month in size xxs, which I'm so glad I waited for. It's a good fit on me with enough room to layer underneath. If you're in-between sizes, I wouldn't stress too much because the fit is adjustable due to the wrap style. The sleeves on the xxs fit fine on me lengthwise, though are a little wider than what I typically prefer.

My friend Krissy is wearing a size S below - she's self-proclaimed petite and busty, thus with a different set of fit challenges! She recommends this jacket due to the flattering deeper V-neckline, which can be adjusted with the wrap style.
I've bought several things from Chicwish over the years (sometimes under a friend's name, so I can truly try out the shipping & returns process) and often get questions about shopping there. I find their items can be hit or miss on me, but there are definitely good finds to be had. To avoid having to pay return shipping costs (they do have a US-based return address), my suggestion is to stick with pieces that have at least a few customer reviews or photos. Also be prepared for free shipping to take a few weeks coming from Asia. I usually pay for expedited shipping (which still takes some time) in order to have a tracking number. Note: I usually check out via PayPal, but if you use a credit card, the charges may be flagged as from the U.K. where I believe they have an office based out of.
^ Close-up of the thicker, woven fabric. Despite having a pattern, I find this coat to be very easy to style since it's all neutral shades! Here's a few other items from the same brand that I own and am very happy with:
- Classy tweed coat - (will try to post a photo soon) another affordable coat with no alterations needed! I thought the xs ran very slim throughout the torso and arms, with sleeves that don't even need any hemming on me in sz xs. I wear mine open because it's a little snug to button as a double-breasted coat, but I think it looks better that way anyways (I always have a scarf on, which covers the gap). There are also real, functioning pockets on this coat - you just have to snip the stitches with tiny scissors!
- Gray drape trench - You guys have seen this a ton on my blog in both casual and dressier outfits ... here, here, and here just to name a few. I personally really like it, but I know the silhouette is not for everyone. The sleeves are a dolman / batwing style and the overall cut is more over-sized. I have an xs with the sleeves shortened.
- Winter floral pleated skirt - fits me in xxs with no alterations needed. See my review.
Thank you to Chicwish for partnering on this post.
