Happy Friday! Are y'all ready to see your fixer upper ? If you're scrambling for any last-minute Halloween costumes, I managed to weasel Nick into doing this one with me. Joanna Gaines' style is adorable and super easy to replicate, so the only expense for us here was a Bieber wig (which Nick has grown scarily fond of). Keep reading for another quick couples costume idea!
Here's the draped trench from my review in action (with sleeves hemmed). It's currently still on sale plus an extra 20% off w/ TRENCH20. My dress here is unfortunately sold out, but the brand brought this style back two years in a row (in different prints), so I'm hopeful they'll do a third run. They have some other unique petite frocks available now that tend to run small.
I also wanted to let you guys know my faux suede jacket from this blog post is back in stock in petites! Please note from my original review that the fabric is on the thinner side so this is a lightweight layer, although fully lined. I love the soft gray color and shrunken, cropped fit, plus the sleeves fit perfectly without shortening. It does run small compared to U.S. brands, per usual. Here are a few more sizes in the same color jacket but I'm a little confused - the listing says "petite" but the images say "tall," so there might a some mix-up there...
Who else is excited for Gilmore Girls revival?! Nick and I took some friends to Nashoba Winery & Orchards (my new favorite little spot - can't wait to go back next year), and I didn't realize his Luke Danes getup until a few of you pointed it out ; ) If you have Lorelai hair and a big ole coffee pot, that's all you need for this couples costume getup!
I forgot to post this Target mug a while back, but it's so cute and makes a great little gift too (esp. if stuffed with some goodies). And this is the same cardigan from my blog post here - the sweater is a thick, warm knit and has been my go-to piece when lounging around.
I was at a dinner recently and did a double-take when I saw olympian Aly Raisman at the table behind me! She was super sweet, sporting her signature topknot and one of my favorite sleeve trends this year. As you can see, we shorter gals love a nude pointed pump!
Fall along Commonwealth Ave is just gorgeous, especially at golden hour. Wish it could stay like this a bit longer, but snow has already hit the northeast this week! Too soon, Mother Nature, too soon...
