Happy first day of September! It’s starting to cool down around here, and I’ve been slowly transitioning my outfits to richer hues and weightier textures. I can tell rose pink is going to be one of my favorite colors this season, like a Fall version of the soft blush I’ve been loving so much. Here I also paired a satin-finish skirt with a knit sweater, and topped it with a woven jacket. I love the combo of varying textures, and can’t wait for it to be cool enough to add suede and faux fur to the mix!
For this post I’m partnering again with Trendlee, an online boutique that offers authenticated, pre-owned designer handbags. I’ve personally had a smooth process both purchasing and returning with them before, and also heard positive feedback from a few of you after my first post. Trendlee gets new stock in weekly, so I’ve curated some favorites on there similar to what’s in my own closet, including Chanel flaps, Celine totes, and several other designer classics. You can take 5% off handbags site-wide with code EXTRAPETITE5.
This is my first time toting around the Saint Laurent sac de jour so I wanted to share some quick thoughts. For lovers of structured bags, the style is classic and structured, with elements that take inspiration from some of Hermes’ signature totes. The sides are accordion-style so if you un-snap the two tabs on either the front or back, you can open the sides up wider to a roomy interior cavity. There are two large zippered compartments and two open pockets inside, plus the bag comes with a detachable (non-adjustable) strap for wearing on your shoulder.
This bag also comes in several material types – the one I borrowed here is in a beautiful rose pink smooth leather with suede lining. Both the leather and lining feel thick and sturdy with lots of interior detailing, and as a result the bag is on the heavier side. If you’ve tried on a Céline luggage tote in mini, I would say the weight feels comparable. The Sac de Jour comes in 4 sizes: nano, baby, small, and large in that ascending order – for reference the one I’m carrying here is the small.
