I've been meaning to blog about this fun blouse which combines my love for whimsical prints and girly tie-neck bows. I haven't seen much flamingo pattern in the form of dressier pieces (almost turned off it forever via Dad's Hawaiian shirt collection) so was happily drawn to this. I brought out some bright pumps to accentuate the pink, and toned the rest of the outfit down with a conservative blazer. This purse is too small for me to use as a work bag, but I wanted to show the pretty color pairing for a more casual outfit.
Several of you have asked about sizing from this company - their team mentioned that most of their styles are made for petite women and sizing may run a little smaller than that of US brands. I tried on a few pieces and find the XS (also labeled US 2 / EUR 34) to consistently fit similar to an H&M sz 4 / 34 or a 0 in American brands. I usually take a 2 / 32 at H&M so this top was blousy, but not overwhelming. The poly material had good drape and resemblance to silk crepe in my opinion.
Measurements of XS when lying flat: 16.5" across the armpits, 13" across the shoulders, 23.5" total length.
I've been wearing this LOFT skirt at least once a week and wanted to mention that it's now on final sale for $26 online. Even though it's patterned, the color scheme is soft enough for the skirt to serve as a "neutral" against other prints. I have to reiterate how pleasantly surprised I am with the material and construction (and esp for the price - completely worth the alterations)!
On an unrelated note, an item I picked up recently is this Piperlime Pim + Larkin boat-neck top in black. I have an old lacy black top that's been a go-to for nights out and have been looking for an update. The XS here fits also similarly to an H&M sz 4 and is slightly boxy and straight cut. It works for me as a casual fit - haven't had a chance to take photos yet but wanted to share before sizes were gone!
