Jason Wu for Target Preview & Prices

*Visit NY Post or Glamour for prices on each piece. Thank you Rowena, Nicole & more for the links!*

I haven't been enticed by many designer + mass retailer collaborations, but the Jason Wu for Target line looks pretty, feminine, and fresh. The collection launches on Sunday, February 5th both in-stores and online, with price points ranging from $19.99 - $59.99.

The pieces I like so far are the crepe/mesh neckline dress above and floaty blush pink blouse + paisley (?) skirt, shown below. I'm curious whether this will be a juniors-sized collection like some past collabs (which means pieces may run smaller), or a womens-sized line.

  1. I had my eye on that blouse too as well as the clutch. The creme-y purse is catching my eye too.

  2. I felt the same way! When I originally heard about the collection I didn't give it much thought until I saw the photos. I'll definately get the chiffon scarf if they have it in stores. The blush-colored blouse has potential too. Hopefully it'll be petite friendly. =)

  3. That actually looks super chic! I love that dress in the first photo and the scarf :)

  4. I'm sure the fit will run smaller like all their other collaborations! I once had to size up 3 sizes for a particular collection. Good for tiny girls like you! Not so much for my ego. hehe. I love the looks of the blush top/skirt and the bowtie blouse!

  6. I love target's collaborations but never enough to get there the morning they release it and fight for the items :X i really like the 2 blouses in these pics though!

  10. wow, I love everything! Seems like Target doesn't ship outside of the US though? :( too bad because I really love what I saw!

  11. I really like that pink dress, but I refuse to battle it out at Target thunderdome at 9am for a piece of clothing. Hopefully this release won't just be a free-for-all!

  12. The Jason Wu collection is awfully cute. I wonder if it's going to be crazy like it was with the Missioni for Target line. I don't have the patience to battle it out with Target shoppers though!

  13. I'm a big fan of stripes and florals, so this collection definitely catches my eye! I love that canvas tote bag...

  14. I love the blouse and the purse on the last picture!! :3 Can't wait!

  15. Is this release for only select target store or all stores? From past experience, is there gong to be a stampede? considering getting one blouse.

  16. I most likely will pass. I try not to buy at Target for the most part... ususally the quality and fit isn't that great (I'm under 5ft).

There is something weird about walking by a stranger and seeing them in the same Target outfit. You both look at each other and KNOW you shopped at Target. I totally am unaware of most designers and didn't even know about the Missioni debacle until it made the news.

Are these designer low end pieces worth alteration prices? I tend to like more classic Ann Taylor/Talbots/BR/Zara.

  17. I typically hate designer collaborations, but this one is so clean and fresh, I might go for it...

  18. I cannot wait that long! I want that floral dress, it's so pretty. And affordable! I'm a target whore, always looking through the clearance racks lol. Cannot wait to see Jason Wu's collection in person. My friend in NYC worked with him before and said he's very nice =D My sister also interned for him last year and liked him too. I'm so happy to see so many Asian designers like Jason Wu, Jimmy Lim, and Vera Wang make it big in the fashion world.

  21. I'm especially eying the blouses and the yellow and /black pleated dress (http://www.refinery29.com/jason-wu-for-target-collection/slideshow#slide-2). I hope the quality and fit live up to what I have in my head. And I hope there's no Missoni-hoarding type craze either!

  22. I probably won't be shopping this collab...just like EVERY target collab. I don't have a car and for me to get to target it requires public transport and I always buy waaaaaaaaaaay too much when I go to target as is. Try hauling all that stuff back on a crowded subway...ahhh!

  23. I'm really liking that bow blouse & the dress above. Hopefully the collection will be petite friendly!

  24. I like this designer-for-Target collection in particular more than many others. The "crepe/mesh neckline dress" you mention is actually a top and skirt (as far as I can tell from the first image).

  25. i rarely go gaga for the target designer stuff, but i really like jason wu's collection. so girly, fun & spring! loving all the blouses and dresses!

  26. Even when I love these designer collabs, they always run out at my store. The only piece I have is from the Rodarte collab. I do like everything you've posted so far, so let's hope they're petite friendly. so far, blush tone blouse has my attention.

  27. I am super excited for this collection! I love anything with blue and orange. I definitely prefer Target's collaboration with Jason Wu over its collaboration with Missoni.

  32. You have such a great eye...I didn't think anything of the crepe/mesh dress at all until I saw that gorgeous shot of it in motion! Now I think it's beautiful.
The Refinery29 pics are great color pairing inspiration pics! If the yellow/black outfit is 2 separates, I may try to track down the pleated skirt...and the white dress...

^ shows the prices of each item. Seems like the white version of that peach blouse is only available on target.com!

  34. Thank you for sharing! The white chiffon top with black ribbon details caught my eyes. I think I will keep my eyes on it. It will go very well with my shimmer tweed jacket that I just scored from Ann Taylor:)

  35. Eeeks I didn't know about this I am so excited!

  36. I really like the Mustard top with the pleated skirt shown from Refinery29.com. If those sheer black socks are also from Jason Wu, I pick up a pair too.

  37. cute! i wish target was in canada!

  38. I was thinking about going to visit my parents that weekend so I can raid their local target (wanting to do this makes me feel a bit nuts though). I love the blush blouse you picked. I think the poplin navy dress with pleats is also darling.

  39. I really love this collection even though I don't really like these collaborations most of the time. I love Jason Wu's designs, and I'm so glad that these are wearable pieces. I love the crepe top and skirt you posted, in addition I love the mustard top/black skirt, the white dress with the black belt, and also the navy skirt.. I dunno, there's lots to love! I also like the creamy purse and the creme/black purse. Of course, they all look good on paper. No idea how they feel in person. And lol I'll be lucky if I can get even one piece!! I'm debating whether or not to go to the store or shop online -- or do both at the same time? :P

  40. Oh my.. I really want the cream bag..

  44. Hmmm... the white blouse with the black bow makes me think of the Colonel. All you need is a bucket of chicken to go with it. That said, I like some of the other pieces but getting those is really dependent on how crazy it might be once in the store.

  45. Jean, I share your sentiment as I'm normally not a huge fan of designer and retail collaborations but this collection looks pretty good (at least on screen and in the ads). The mesh top and the pleated skirt are my favorites as well so I'll probably try to get my hands on those.

  46. I can't wait until the collection is released!
