Online only, Wednesday 7/27 only. Free shipping on $150+, no code needed. Good chance to shop pre-Fall arrivals while small sizes are in stock. For cooler days, I've been infatuated with the idea of a classic, tailored khaki trench that transcends seasons. Ann Taylor delivers one here for $136 after discounts (sizes going fast).

In person, I was drawn to these items below. I didn't have time to try anything on so I can't speak to the fit. I believe the belt was available starting in XS in-stores versus just S online. And as always, 40% off is a good opportunity to pick up petite-favorite items like the Perfect Pumps (in leather or patent) or the chambray shirt. Don't forget Ebates gives 2.5% cashback on AnnTaylor (referral - we each get a bonus after your first purchase).

i need everyday pumps because im wearing mine out (in black and in nude!). too bad AT only has the navy color left in 5.5 :(
ReplyDeletei like that dress too! i showed ms aubrey the other day and she gave it thumbs down....haha but i still like it! hope you get it so i can see the fit.
Seems like Ann Taylor does these kinds of deals quite often.
ReplyDeleteUse code 10000002578 for an extra 20% off entire purchase!!!
ReplyDeletehahaha nothing in the AT fall line excites me. I have a few picks. will share tomorrow on this post. g'nite!
ReplyDelete@aquav87 I couldn't get that to work on my order - it says "code has been applied" but I see no changes in my total order amount to reflect the discount. Any tips?
ReplyDelete@Ping The patent's are in black in 5.5!
Thank you for the heads up on the AT trench. I've been looking at the BR trench for a long time and had planned to purchase it for fall, not knowing that the AT trench was in existence. In looking at the two side by side online it appears that the AT trench is of much better quality. I'm so glad that I was able to pounce on it before the fall season gets here and all the smaller sizes are gone. Now I just have to wait for the right weather so I can get some use out of it. And being in Florida, I have a long wait ahead of me, haha.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on this one. After I saw your post on FB, I purchased a couple things that aren't available near me to try on first. I hope it'll work out!- or maybe not :) - says my wallet!
ReplyDeleteAT has been meh for me this year. Other than the lace crochet dress, I have not bought a single AT item in 2011. I am intrigued by the petite tucked sheath dress but it is an online exclusive that is sold out. Bummer!
ReplyDeleteMy shopping $$ have migrated to Talbots instead - the quality is insane! Unfortunately, the cut of Talbots clothing is not friendly to the extra petites... the 0P pants fit me postpartum so you would be swimming in them and there is nothing smaller.
Did you see that Boston got voted worst dressed by GQ? Do you agree? I think it is because adults dress like kids on their days off...sloppy tees, sports shorts, flipflops, no accessories, no grooming. Sloppy sloppy sloppy!
@pag, your ebates referral link is not working for me. Can you check? Thx!
ReplyDeleteI just tried it again just now, and yes, you won't see the discount right off the moment you put in the promo code, but you'll see it once you signed in. I put in the promo code, then on the right side of the screen, I signed in as an existing customer. The discount showed up. I got the trench, and it was about $27 off from the $136 =] Hope it works for you!
ReplyDeleteWould you say the Perfect Pumps run pretty true to size? I'm usually an 8 1/2, but occasionally go up to a 9. I'm excited to try my first pair.
ReplyDeleteI like the trench coat too. Last time I touched the material in store. Is it going to be too formal for IT engineer?
ReplyDeletethanks for posting this, Jean!! i just picked up the Refined Chambray top and am anxious to see how it works out. i also just applied for a Ann Taylor credit card earlier this month so I had a one-time 20% discount code that I was able to stack onto my order. hooray for good deals! :)
ReplyDeletedoes anyone have a discount code for 20% that they arent using and dont mind sharing? :)
ReplyDelete0000002578 for another 20% off worked for me only with an Ann Taylor / LOFT credit card.
ReplyDeleteI got a snail mail postcard with these two offers:
ReplyDelete-20% off $100: CODE 10000002556
-30% off full-price item: 10000002567
Expires August 18, 2011. It should be reusuable, I think.
I have 10000002556 too ... guess it's not a unique code, so try it and hopefully it works!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jean for posting about the sale. I was also able to use code 10000002556 to get stackable extra 20% off. I now have two new pair of shoes. : )
ReplyDelete10000002336 for 25% off full-price purchase of $100 or more with Ann Taylor Card
ReplyDeleteSuch a great deal! Now if only they're just ship to Canada...
ReplyDeletethanks for the additional discount codes ladies, scored a bargain with 52% off the red lady bag.
ReplyDeleteJean, do you know if online exclusive merchandise and size 5 shoes can be returned in store? I spoke to 2 SA's over the phone and one said yes while the other said no. I tried calling CS, but they are closed. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteLinda, you can return the online exclusive merchandise and size 5 shoes in store. I've done it a few times, even though I've been told by the SA's in store that they should be mailed back. They may not be happy about it, but they can't refuse the return. There's nothing written in their return policy that says you can't return those items at the store.
ReplyDelete@Melanie I haven't seen this trench in person, but I too compared this with the BR version and definitely like this one better. I'm no longer in the market for a trench, but this would've been a must-try if I were. Keep me posted on whether or not it works out when it arrives!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous Nice! I love these pre-season sales from AT.
@Annapurna Ah yes, my coworker sent that article around. What a disgrace, lol! Talbots does have nice quality, but their clothing style and sizing is not for me...yet.
@Anonymous Thank you for letting me know! Fixed : )
@Maya Hi Maya, I've been wearing a sz 5 in all shoe brands lately, Ann Taylor included (except for Target, but they don't offer a 5). I would say they're fairly true to size. Maybe size down if you are between sizes because the leather may stretch with wear. Patent for me was snugger than regular leather.
@sarahp A classic trenchcoat is a timeless piece for any woman - IT engineer included!
Thank you everyone who came out to share these codes! I hope fellow shoppers will find success with at least one of these!
ReplyDelete@Julie i know! It's such a bummer Canadian petites currently can't enjoy AT and LOFT - it might be in the works, though.
@Alyssa It's gorgeous! That red color is perfect for all seasons, but will be especially lovely in the Fall.
@Linda Yes definitely. I have done it many times. Some stores won't allow online exclusive STYLES to be returned in-stores. It happend to me once at the Gap and I had to send it back via mail. Online exclusive sizes though should always be returnable in stores, so it's unfortunate an SA is giving you wrong info!
Anon - It's upsetting to hear that the SA's told you it should be mailed back. I would let AT know via facebook or twitter what store it is so they can re-train those employees! For me personally, I love stumbling on a sz 5 return in store : )
Thank you, Jean and Anonymous! I read the return policy but wanted to double check. I heard some people were forced to mail it back and eat the shipping costs.
ReplyDeleteI often try to find size 5 returns in store, but most of the time SA's will tell me they don't carry size 5 without even checking.
hi jean!
ReplyDeleteForemost, how do you manage to pull off everything you wear & always look so effortless & adorable?? :)
I went to h&m today and just have the below comments on the couple items you described:
1. That cream dress looks/feels so delicate, but I found that upper bust area felt disproportionate. I'm about a size bigger than you and tried on the xs. I wasn't sure about the lowcut sheer part at the top either...do you think it's the kind of bra you wear that makes all-the-difference? I wasn't confident even if i were to wear a strapless.
2. I have a bunch of the basic slouchy tees myself - they are super comfy. Do you wear a tank underneath? I feel like everytime I bend over you can see my bra... just want to know if I am the only one with this issue and what I can do to remedy it.
Thanks in advance for your expertise!
I scored myself two pairs of the perfect pumps (based on your recommendation) during the 40% sale, and I can't believe how awesome they are! And each pair was under $100! Such a steal!
