Today Only: Free Ship over $15 at Forever21

Use MDSHIP to get free shipping on orders over $15, today only (5/30/2011) at Forever21 online. Their usual free ship minimum is $50, so this is a great opportunity to pick up some seasonal stuff without losing your mind in their cluttered stores.

For summer, I recommend their simple maxi dresses. If you're unsure about the look on you - what better way to try it out than with a cheap, non-committal one under $15? The thing about F21's maxis is that they are made for 5'9" models. Look for ones with higher waistlines, so you can do an easy DIY hem or snip.

And to accessorize your summer outfits, I recommend this beaded bib necklace ($7.80). I picked it up here and have been loving it for filling up unsightly spaces caused by low necklines. OOTD's from this weekend:
Theory jacket, F21 belt, BR ruffle dress, Target chambray shirt (all old). H&M circle skirt (current)

  1. Have you tried the Petites from the Victoria's Secret catalog? I've had luck with the XS pj's, but haven't tried more structured wear yet.

  2. @Carla Krae Carla, what size do you wear in other brands like Ann Taylor? I think VS petites may work only for those who wear at least a 0-2 petites or above. I tried some stuff from there a while back (so long ago I forget) and the smallest sizes were much too big for someone with my frame. Also in the Alterations Needed forum (forum.alterationsneeded.com) for petite, I think I remember seeing a few reviews on there, not positive.

  3. Your weekend OOTD's are so lovely. :) I did notice that you wear that F21 statement piece a lot, and it looks super stylish on you. Free shipping is great for f21. I will go browse a bit and see if I can find anything. Thank you for the promo code, Jean.

  4. Thanks for the code, Jean. I've bought a few summer pieces from F21 lately and I have to say I am happy with them. You look so stylish on the weekend :) Enjoy your day!

  5. I finally broke down and bought the bib necklace. Great f21 finds!

I went trekked to the outlets (Camarillo) and was so disappointed not to find a single petite item. Shame!

  6. Gaaaahh...I got the code this morning and tried so hard not to look. Trying to stay away from F21! All my stuff from there usually ends up being donated or in my blog sale..LOL

  8. I love that BR ruffle dress on you. Cute weeekend wear. I'm FINALLY wearing a dress today! Let's hope the weather keeps this up, my poor legs need to breathe :P

  9. That ruffle dress looks amazing on you! I wish I could pull off ruffles without making me look...bigger. I'm curvy in places that it makes it very difficult for me to wear pants. Almost every pair of pants needs to get altered (sigh for being 5'0").

  10. Wow $15?! That's good! Wish I had that deal here ; ) But I usually combine with a friend for free shipping. I have a F21 maxi dress and it's the perfect length with heels! Maybe some are made for taller people? I'm unsure.

  11. Thanks for the heads up! I ordered a striped black / cream maxi ($14.50!) that I'm thinking of pairing with turquoise jewelry :)

  13. @PetiteAsianGirl - I can wear the xs yoga pant from VS in the shorter inseam. Granted, mine were bought a couple years ago, so fit could have changed. I'm 32" around the butt, but I have a pad of flesh on the sides of my hips, so some low-rise sizes will stay on me. Used to have a 22" waist, but I've gained a little weight, so I can't give an accurate size right now.

Think I'm built weird, cuz though I'm only a 32B, a lot of tailored jackets and shirts feel restrictive to me. My mother and grandmother were 4'11" and wore size 8P and 10P and had an easier time than my 5'2" self...they just shortened jacket sleeves.

  14. There was this super cute maxi in a peachy color that I swore was on F21's site a few days ago... but it's gone now! Wahhh. So I consoled myself and picked up a scarf and long necklace (as if I need any more of either, lol). Thanks for this heads up and I hope your studying is going well!
