BeautyBar 50% off and free ship via Hautelook - Ends 4/22

The NYX sale on Hautelook was a bit disappointing, but I picked up one of these $20 for $40 gift certificates to BeautyBar. This site has a small but good selection of designer cosmetics and skincare from brands like Lorac, Stila, Philosophy, Peter Thomas Roth, etc and offers free 1-2 day shipping w/ orders over $39.
I got one of these coupons previously from another site, and was pretty pleased (got my beloved Lorac Top of the Line Liner and some bronzer). I'm going to use my certificate towards a Clairsonic replacement brush head and another goody.

Click here if you need an invite link to Hautelook. Deal ends Friday 4/22 at 11AM EST.

  1. Ooh, thank you! I purchased one of the e-certificates as well--I didn't know that Beauty Bar carried Deborah Lippman, and I need a replacement brush head for my Mia as well! Thanks again!

  4. For replacement Clarisonic brushes, I've found that eBay is a good source -- there are many sellers who buy them in bulk and resell them, so I've been able to get 2 brushes for the usual price ($25).

  5. Hi Jean, would you mind doing a review on Clarisonic? I know there are tonnes of people have done reviews on Clarisonic but I am thinking whether or not to invest and I think your opinions are always very helpful!!! Thanks!!! =)

P.S. Too bad that Beauty Bar doesn't ship to Canada..

  6. Hi Jean, thank you so much for your speedy reply!!! I am so happy to see you leaving a comment on my blog (it's like a celebrity visiting my blog!! =D)~
From my most recent visit to sephora, I saw no trace of the NAKED but that might also due to the fact that I am in a relatively small city (there's only 1 sephora). I hope I will have better luck soon!! Apparently I heard that there seems to be a waiting list for it here in Canada..><
And thank you so much for your sharing about the Clarisonic!!!I'm still indecisive but in the mean time I guess I should start saving money for it~

  8. Off-topic, but I finally got the Gap legging jeans in 00P after seeing your posts, with a 30% off code too. No scrunching, the jeans hit right at my ankles since I'm a bit taller than most of the petite ladies. Love!!

  12. @Anonymous Thanks for the tip! Makes sense...I find tons of random stuff on eBay : )

@Anni Anni, I LOVE liquid liner because it has much better staying power (and I've tried gel liners too from Bobbi Brown). I currently use Lorac Top of the Line Liner but it's very pricey, a good dupe is Physicians Formula liquid liner in their "japanese forumula" - it's around $10 at drugstores and there are often sales and coupons.

@Priya Hi Priya! I was telling Lorraine up above that the Clarisonic works differently on everyone based on skin type. I have pretty clear skin, sometimes dry, so I bought it to buff away my dry skin cells. I wear powder foundation so when I have flakes, it's really icky and noticeable. The clarisonic does a good job making my skin smooth and soft - I use it about 2-3 times a week.

@Anonymous Hi there, I haven't heard anything yet either. Hautelook is usually slow to process orders (when I buy actual stuff, it takes almost a month to get) so I am not concerned yet. I am expecting an email with the beautybar gift certificate code maybe in the coming week. If I don't hear anything by Friday then I'll probably email them : ) I'm sure if you contact or tweet at their customer service they can let you know when/how we can expect the certificates.
