Petite-Friendly Target Order

Chloe's sale alert today reminded me of some stuff that had been sitting in my Target cart. From now through February 19th, get 20% off your clothing or shoe purchase of $75 or more, plus free shipping - no code necessary. I always click here first to get a $5 off coupon, then go through ebates for 3% cashback.
I ordered the Dolce Vita Rope Wedges in nude, sz 5.5, contemplated the Dolce Vita Cork Wedges in brown, but ended up getting a second pair of the rope wedges in cognac. Update: I ended up canceling that cognac pair and instead purchased the Cynthia Vincent inspired Tawny wedges (couldn't decide between black or brown) recommended by DSK Steph. She says they're great for the price and very comfy. I also got the Patsy strappy heels for wearing with skinny jeans.

Next I picked up the juniors lace cardigan in black and cafe latte, sz XS (reviews say it runs small). I mentioned these back in September, certain they'd go on clearance. Lo and behold they're now $8 w/ discounts. See it on Jen and Tiffany.

If lace isn't your thing, I was excited to see these 100% cotton long boyfriend cardigans in 12+ colors! They look very similar to my beloved LOFT ones, are friendly on the wallet, and look very fitted on the junior models.

PS - in-store returns at Target have always been a pleasant experience for me. If you don't have a printer at home, they have little self-serve computer terminals by customer service to print out your returns slip.

  1. Are cotton cardigans good? What about acrylic ones?

Your nude wedges are so cute - but then it's cause I have a thing for nude colored shoes. Wish we had a Target in Vancouver!!

  2. Thanks for the heads up! I'm going to try and stock up on their Boyfriend Cardigans since I regret not doing so when LOFT had theirs on sale. I'm trying to find some cheap booties and nude pumps as well but the Targ sizing and selection are slim pickings this time around.

  3. Danielle - I'm not sure about acrylic ones...but i think cotton cardigans are good for summer. You just have to take care of them appropriately and avoid too much wash and dry. My cardigans do NOT look nice after too many washes, so from now on I'll probably gently handwash and then lay flat to dry.

R.L. - yes I was not happy with any of their booties this year! Had to pay a little more and get the adrienne vittadini ones but man, compared to the Target suede ones I tried on in previous post they are 20x better. Didn't see nude pumps either other than the "Virginia" ones I have and do not like. My favorite Target shoe has still got to be the Palani gladiator sandals (no more in small sizes) which I want to wear with every Spring/Summer outfit.

  4. I love the nude wedges! I have a pair of strappy Dolce Vita dupes from ASOS that everyone seems to compliment all the time. I really can't wait until summer. I dread this cold weather. D:

  5. I've been wanting the Dolce Vita wedges! But I couldn't decide on the colors... either gold, black, or whtie.

  6. those nude wedges are so cute!! i actually have so many similar-looking wedges left over from last summer but otherwise i'd be jumping on this deal. and i can't wait to see the lacy cardigan on you!

  7. those shoes are very cute! yet another reason why the US is so much more shopper friendly. I don't even know if Target ships to Canada, and if they do, it's probably quite expensive with shipping and duties. Anyway, I think the nude wedges will make anyone's legs look a mile long in the summer time, can't wait for your outfit pics with them!

  8. Oh no... I've been enabled! :P Been eyeing the lace cardigan and now that they're $8 I have no excuse! I'm contemplating going for those nude wedges too. I also love Target's breezy return policy and have never had a problem with them. Now to go check to see if the $5 off coupon can be used with eBates and I'm all set :)

  11. Cute shoes!! I am on the hunt for summer heels. I only own one pair of wedges...used to be a flip flops girl. :) I have quite a long list of wants for the warm weather! Nice to see some inexpensive but cute items! Looking forward to your review. :)

  14. Great shoe picks! I just saw those in person earlier today at Target. I really am loving the style of wedges they've been carrying this year!

I also just received my Target order earlier tonight (I purchased two pairs of wedges too!) I got the Tawny style (with the zipper) aka Cynthia Vincent inspired wedge sandals. The only way I could justify the purchase was by the fact that she did a line for Target in the past!

I'm usually more about justifying my purchases of nice (higher quality) shoes, but I value for the $ was way too good at Target. I really want a pair of CV wedges but for $300-400 I can settle for the Target pair (since reviews were so so good on Youtube). And I mean..you posting about Target wedges also means that Target wedges = totally awesome right now!

I bought the same pair in the two colors it comes in (cognac and the black). :D They're so comfy too! They came out to be on sale for $22 each and I did use the fabulous Ebates for additional savings :D :D :D It was free shipping for $50 or more, so I picked up a Rooney CD (old school white kid band lol). I loved them.

Thank you for the tweet this morning regarding the DL nail polishes! I can't wait to get my first Gilt order in the mail!

  15. These wedges by Stuart Wietzman are also so so beautiful, http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=156778&CategoryID=17418

They were quite the rage last year and super hard to find because celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston were spotted wearing them. But 4.5" wedges are a bit out there, but they're just so gorgeous on super stylish women.

  17. aw I seem to luck out with Target shoes. If only my feet were a smidge bigger =P Have you ever checked out the Payless brand?

The cardi's look nice! I think I'll check them out in person before locking in an order ;)

  18. Thanks for sharing, I can't wait to go home and take my time shopping on Target's website. I always love everything at store, but when I try to shop on their website, for some reason the clothes just look so boring on the models... what's up with that? I love your picks, I really want those nude wedges and the black lace cardigan!

I've been trying to find those nude Virginia pumps that you have worn in some of your OOTDs last year(they look really good on you), but they only have sizes 9 & 10 >__<

  23. I really love those wedges and have been looking for the perfect pair might have to pick these up! Are they reasonable quality? Do they look like they are going to fall apart?

  24. Ahhh LOVE these shoes Jean - THANKS for sharing!!!! I'm going to make a beeline to my local Target this weekend and try tromping around to see they fit - but I might splurge anyway online before they sell out! Did you find the fit large? I'm a bit worried - having hooves for feet makes life difficult sometimes as I clock in at a small size 5.

I really need to get on Twitter to answer burning questions in better time - sorry I'm so tardy, my 60 hour workweeks are eating into blogger and sleeptime! -_- The only base I use is Aquaphor, which I think I remember you holding as a HG status item as well ;) I was curious about India & Girly Pink when purchasing but they really aren't wearable colors outside of questionable nighttime escapades and Halloween. I really loved Diva and I think it would look great on you! It doesn't have the same crazy sparkle/shimmer. Which colors did you try out from the line? I'll be trying out more soon from my crazy Cherry Culture haul to share! :)

  25. Hi Jean, I am glad you cancelled the order for the Dolce Vita wedges. I tried them on in store and didn't like them at all. In the other hand, the Tawny and Patsy are lovely. The fit is true to size for both and very comfy to wear. I love them both. I wanted to check them out in person before order them online.

  26. @itzLina I have to agree their model photos on Target.com are truly awful. THat's why I usually end up ordering so much because I want to see the stuff in person myself before making judgements! Sometimes it turns out better...sometimes the pictures are accurate lol. And oh...the Virginia nude pumps are uncomfortable and stiff. It's okay your size is gone...I have not been recommending them to readers.

@Anonymous Hi there, yes I will after they arrive!

@fashionforteens I haven't seen anything in person except the lace cardigan...so I'll let you know about the shoes after they arrive!

@PetiteLittleGirl Oh good...makes me feel better! Now I'm excited for Tawny and Patsy.

  27. This post seems less about the petite-friendly items than it is about sharing your referral/affiliate links.
