Dav Heeled Rainboots on Sale ($14.70 - $28.50)

Just a quickie post because I noticed Dav rainboots were on clearance on Hautelook. Whenever readers email me about rainboots for petites, I recommend Dav because they come in a mid-calf length, plus they have a heel! I bought the solid black pair in the shorter length after doing lots of research (unfortunately not included in the sale). The stubby heel takes a little getting used to, but now I always reach for these over my Burberry flat ones.
The Hautelook prices are actually really good (I paid $50 for my short ones at DSW, for reference) and shipping is $7.95. I own sz 34-35 and it fits just like a US 6. Click here if you need an invite (commissioned if you make a purchase).

  2. I was wondering about the size, if you sy 34-35 is US size 6, then that's my size, though I thought I normally wear 36, lol. Hate to buy something that doesn't fit

  3. Cydia - yes I found these because I need the height wherever I can get it, even on rainy days!

Halifax - it's weird eh? I wear a 35.5 normally but this 34-35 definitely does not run true to European size. It fits me fine with socks on so I think it's definitely like a US sz 6.

  4. Jean -- lol i know what you mean by height...I have a pair of burb flat rain boots too...i think they are uncomfy so i barely wear mine unless it absolutely necessary. how does it feel for you? i saw you got the jcrew minnies...did those work out for you?

  5. OH, I've been needing/wanting boots for a long time! I tried ones are Target but they hurt my feet so I returned them. These having a heel is great. I'll probably have to stick to a shorter length one since my legs are kinda chunky :P

  6. Jean, you are such an enabler! I bought myself the giraffe one in 34/35 since you suggested it. Like yourself, I am a 35.5 too for most shoes. I couldn't figure which to choose, the hounds tooth one, or the black one or the english floral sky one but since you posted the giraffe one and I thought about what a plain person I am, this would be some kind of a statement pair of rain boots! I am def going to blog about it when I get it! Did you get anything this time?

  8. Hi Jean,

Thanks for the post. I got the solid black and the Flirt solid in gray. I'm a size 5 so hopefully these won't be too big on. =)

  10. Well... I have absolutely no need for rainboots, but if I did I would totally go for these because of the heel! :)

  11. anyone own hunter rainboots? don't they sell Hunters in mid-calf length too?

  12. Speaking of Hunter, they have a new rainboot this season...with a wedge heel and riding strap detail! Saw it online at Saks. Those would be so comfy AND height enhancing.

  13. Are the heeled ones comfortable? Love the animal print one but I'm concerned about comfort!

  14. Jean -- I'm not being very helpful, but prior to buying the 00P Minnie pants I actually tried them on at the store. I can't remember if it was a 0 or 00, but it was definitely way too big. The legnth was better though. Hopefully they work out for you. Hmmm I haven't seen the 00P gap jeggings yet, hope you do a review soon.

  15. Diane - didn't get anything this time because I'm hoping my black ones will last for a few years : )

Elle - thank you for the coupon!

Kristy- I hope they work out for you! You have smaller footsies than me though so they might be a little loose. I guess thick socks may do the trick.

Aubrey & Joyce - I'm going to have to check out the mid-calf hunter wellies with a riding strap detail! I did a quick online search and didn't find anything that met that description specifically.

20 York Street - the heel is more nubby and I think a thicker stacked heel would be more comfortable. I would love to find a pair with such a heel that doesn't swallow my short legs. as mentioned above the nubby heel takes some getting used to but I am comfortable in them now.

Ping - ahhh darn it. Michelle from Coastalpolital mentioned she owned them in 2 regular and she is petite so I think I will give them a shot to see if the waist is alterable. You will def see the jeggings soon (but they're also posted on CUrls and Pearls and petiteXXS) ... I've been wearing them so much.

  16. Jean, please post some pics yourself in your Dav boots when you get a chance! I'd love to see how the shorter-length Dav boots look on a petite. (Currently trying to decide between those and some mid-calf Hunter boots since Nordies is currently offering free shipping on those.)

  17. RL - do you have an email? I can send/text you a bad photo lol. I'm curious to see how the mid-calf hunters look! A wedge is necessary though. I look awful in my Burberry mid-calf flat rubber boots.

  18. Hi I'm currently on Hautelook right now and there's DAV boots on sale and I was wondering if you could post a picture in the black ones because I'm thinking about getting them. I'm 5'1" or 5'2" so I wanna see how high these are, thanks!
