There is zero variety in my makeup application. For evening, I use the same products from my everyday work face, just with a heavier hand. Here I have darkened the shadow around the outer corners of my eye, intensified the bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks, and slapped on some falsies and lip gloss.

Close-up of the Model21 #40 lashes:
Model 21 is a false eyelash company (thank you Aubrey and Sophia for the rec!) which makes an awesome variety of lashes at bargain prices. Lashes are $6-$9 per box and a box gives you ten pairs! They sent me two boxes to review and I asked for a third to give to readers (I'm always thinkin of you guys!).I wanted to post photos of the other styles I received too but for some reason the lashes came out looking almost exactly the same. I asked for natural-looking styles, and got #1 and #40. I thought the lashes were very full and soft (felt much softer than my ELF ones), but the spine was hard and plastic-y. On the other hand, the 3rd box of lashes (no # ?) had the softest, most comfortably spine, but they were a lil' too natural looking for me. Overall though, I would definitely buy this brand - a great value for nice and soft falsies.
I put together a "combo" box to give away with lashes from all three styles. **Giveaway Closed** I'll select a winner at random in a few days (international readers are welcome to enter).
Giveaway "combo" pack
To end this post, here is a vid showing my latest beauty & skincare favorites:
Disclosure: I received 2 boxes of lashes courtesy of Model 21. My review here represents my honest opinion.

Those lashes look so pretty on you! You look stunning in every angle! You would make a perfect model! That company Model21 asked me to review their lashes months ago and I provided my information to them, but they never mailed it. That's okay, I honestly only wear false lashes on some YouTube videos and if modeling gigs have me wear them. LOL! HAVE A GRRRREEEAT WEEKEND!
ReplyDeleteThose look fab, and the idea of a combo pack - Genius! I'd love to try these - I'm really getting into falsies lately. I've only worn them once on prom though, and once to go out, but they make such a difference! The natural ones would be perfect to wear under my glasses I think, for a natural but pretty look.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try those lashes because my lashes are short, straight, and won't curl. Boooo! They're so stubborn. I have yet to find a pair that I really like and I've always wanted to try Model 21 lashes because I hear a lot of good things about them. I want my eyes to be pretty-fied!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I went to H&M the other day and did not see that dress! I love zebra print and it looks so comfortable.
Hotness, lov'n the dress & shoes!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try these lashes because different styles, I don’t own any falsies, these would be a great experiment.
love the shoes they're so pretty!! i would love to try the falsies since i'm a falsies virgin. i love how they look so natural and not over the top dramatic.
ReplyDeleteI love the matching lip gloss and nail polish in your video! :P
ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence! I was gonna scroll down and comment on how natural those lashes look then I read "giveaway with lashes"! Yay!
Anyway, you already know I'm a follower so I'll go ahead and enter. : ) I'd love to try these lashes because I've actually never heard of them before! After seeing how natural it looks in your photos, I want to see how it'll look on me. I've only ever tried ELF lashes and Sephora ones.
aw you're so pretty in your video :) that's the first time i've heard you speak hehe
ReplyDeletei would love to try those lashes because i've never heard of them before and i'm from australia. they looks so natural on you and so i really want to go for the natural look too. my eyelashes are quite stubborn and not very long. i'd love to experiment with new styles of falsies!
You look great as always :) I love the tamed zebra dress and the window backdrop! Especially the first picture :) You'd make a really nice model - I am serious! :) You can do print modeling since you are so photogenic!
ReplyDeleteAnd those lashes are so awesome. What an awesome value! :) I'd love to try it, since the only ones I've ever tried are the ELF ones and I'm not sure the differences between the spines. But I'd love to try it at any chance :)
I love your outfit! You always manage to flatter your small frame and look amazing everyday :D
ReplyDeleteI really like reading your blog for fashion inspiration because I'm also really short and have trouble finding clothes that fit me well.
I would love to try these lashes because they seem like they would enhance your eyes really nicely, and I definitely need to. My lashes are very straight and short, I hope these can make mine look a lot longer :)
I really want to try Model 21 lashes, because I've heard so much about these lashes! :)
ReplyDeleteI always hear good things about Model 21 lashes. Would love to try them, still trying to get the hang of putting on falsies, so I'll probably need the whole box before I perfect my technique.
ReplyDeletei love it when you smile :) your cheeks just brighten up your entire complexion!
ReplyDeletehehe these lashes look so good! i'm surprised that you felt comfortable wearing them for so long because i can stand falsies on my eyes for about 2 hours max before i feel weirded out and have to remove them. these look so natural and nice and lightweight - oftentimes falsies i try are so heavy i feel like i'm lifting weights with my eyelids. i like that you combined all 3 styles :) maybe i'll take a whack at falsies more and see if any of the styles fit perfectly.
I hope this is the lip gloss you commented about on my blog? I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look that shiny which makes me happy considering shiny lip glosses look scary on me. x: I might have to try this one!
And zebra print is my favorite! LOVE LOVE LOVE the outfit! :D
Oh and I forgot to comment about the lashes. -__-
ReplyDeleteI've never actually tried fake lashes and don't exactly own a single pair but have been DYING to try them! Just, every time I go to the drugstore, I never know what kind are good quality or if they'll suit my eyes (my eyes are SUPER sensitive) or if they're reusable and I don't wanna throw away the money I guess? But you recommended these ones and said they're good quality, so I wanna try them!
[:
wow u look hot! love the dress and of course, those falsies are amazing on u. yes, please count me in and i'm a follower:) i would love to try a pair since u wrote a good review on some of these. plus, falsies are fun to wear!:)
ReplyDeleteTheOwlsCloset.blogspot.com
You look so gorgeous, I love the entire outfit, and the lashes! I didn't know you had a youtube, I'm SUBBING RIGHT NOW!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous as always... and you have amazing cheekbones when you smile! I can't believe you (used to) wash your face with only water! Did you use something else to remove makeup though? I can't imagine makeup would come off very well with just water.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'd love to try those lashes! I've only worn falsies for my wedding and have no idea what brand the makeup artist used, but they were super heavy! That and the combination of eyelid tape made me feel like I could hardly open my eyes, so I've never been tempted to try falsies on my own. But I'd like to see how the more natural set feels like.
The zebra print looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteI'll take your wine rack :D
ReplyDeleteOkay, seriously, I -never- find cute dresses or minis at H&M and I've trolled the various SF ones too. I love that dress on you; it's hot! & I haven't had the chance to try the Model21 lashes yet..maybe tonight!!
ReplyDeleteGirl, I absolutely heart your blog. An inspiration for us petite ladies! xx
ReplyDeleteReally sexy outfit!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to be entered please! I've never tried false lashes and these look great on you. The only time I had them on was on my wedding day but I think those were just partials.
You look gorgeous as always. I like the matching lip gloss and nail polish :) I would like to enter, please. I have a box of the natural false lashes at home but would love to try the other styles. Combo box is a great idea. Thanks for hosting the giveway. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try those because i own the darkness lashes and the bands are a little too thick, so i want to see if these are more comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI would like to try it because my eye is small and I think the false eyelash can make my eye bigger.
ReplyDeletethat mini dress on you is gorgeous! and i'm in love with it. i never really used to be a fan of animal print but i'm growing to love them. especially zebra prints.
ReplyDeleteI would also love to say that i would really reallly enjoy winning the falsies combo box! I have extremely thin, and short eyelashes (i think it's an asian thing lol) but i'm always wanting to use falsies because it really does make a HUGE difference. But i haven't really found any "FAVORITES" yet and these sound like they might be IT(: so i'd really really like to try these <3 thanks so muchh.
btw very cute shoes and pictures!
It was so strange, just a few years back animal print was limited and now it is everywhere! Really like the zebra print!
ReplyDeleteI would like to try the Model 21 lashes since the only pairs of falsies that I own are too dramatic. I would like to try something a little in between of subtle and dramatic.
I love that animal print dress & the shoes are so pretty!! You looks pretty as usual. You're right...going out clothes is so easy to find. LoL.
ReplyDeleteYou look very chic!
ReplyDeleteI just watched your video, great reviews. I have sensitive skin like yours and I use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and L'Oreal Go 360 Clean Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin. They both work really well for my sensitive skin. I'd recommend to try them :)
I'd love to try the Model21 lashes.
I love your shoes! Never paid much attention to Zara's shoe selection but looks like I should.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try the Model 21 lashes so I can compare them to the others I already tried - Ardell, Missha and The Face Shop.
I would love to try these because I have yet to find a pair of inexpensive false lashes that looks relatively natural...thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI love your shoes BTW!
emmajo317(at)yahoo(dot)com
I'd love to try these false lashes because I have short, stubby, stick-straight eye lashes!
ReplyDeleteYou are so gorgeoussss, Jean!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm still learning the trick for putting on falsies properly, but love wearing them when I go out. Would love to try the more natural ones for daytime work so I am definitely going to order some of these lashes (let us know if the company ends up telling you what number the third set are)!
Hi: The only thing I ever tried on my lashes is to perm them. Alas they only lasted for 2 months or so. Have heard so much about false eyelashes but never take the effort. this might be a good chance to start somewhere. Love your style, always so polished and put together!
ReplyDeleteI would like to try the lashes. I've actually been waiting to purchase the ELF ones you reviewed earlier. But I guess any will do, since they all look awesome on you and I'm wondering if they would work wonders on me too. Funny how you did a video review on the Revlon Super Lustrous...cause I just made my review/spiel on them on my blog http://caramelcovered.blogspot.com/2010/08/morsel-no-17.html
ReplyDeletethe dress is so beautiful! it suits you perfectly :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to try these lashes because my lashes are sooo straight and short... I have some falsies myself but they are really cheap ones and look somehow unnatural :( (but they make my eye look bigger lol)
PetiteXXS - I use lancome bi-facil eyemakeup remover...but now that I've started wearing more bronzer and blush on my face I really needed something other than water for the face!
ReplyDeletekarito - I actually just got the Cetaphil gentle face cleanser and it really is very mild. I like it for everyday use, but it doesn't really remove makeup though (I know it's not intended to) and I usually have bronzer leftover on my face.
That's awesome! I would love to try those because...well...I've NEVER EVER tried falsies before!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the dress on you btw <3
ooh i love the dress on you. you look great with prints
ReplyDeletethe lashes are beautiful as well - they look super natural which I like

I don't use a lot makeup myself, but the following does the trick: I first use cetaphil and remove with water, then with my face wet put a bit of the L'oreal 360 and brush gently with the clarisonic ( i sometimes buy the cle de peau cleansing foam, which works super but is too expensive). Now, to remove eye makeup, I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover.
ReplyDeleteSounds a lot but it does not take more than 5 minutes before going to bed. I love it :) :)
Hello, I would love to try on the Model 21 false eyelashes. I have been looking for a pair of nice bargain false eyelashes to wear on my wedding day in coming October. Hopefully I will have a chance to try it. Thanks for asking for a box for your readers! Thank you.
ReplyDeletePlease count me in for the Model 21 falsies as well. I have only worn fake eyelashes on my wedding day but it was applied by a makeup artist and she did individual pieces. Seeing how great they look on you, I am inspired to give them a go! Hopefully they will feel soft and comfortable. Love, love your blog and so glad I somehow found it :D.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress on you! The print is really cute without being too crazy (which can easily happen with animal prints).
ReplyDeleteAnyway I'd love to try those model 21 falsies. They look really great and natural on you. I'd love to try them out. I've only ever tried falsies a couple times (twice?)...and really love the effect since I have short, sparse eyelashes.
I love that dress! And I would love to win these falsies since I never really worn flasies before with the exception of photoshoots.
ReplyDeleteI follow you on bloglovin btw. =]
http://aimeehx3.wordpress.com
I've never tried falsies before because I was so scared they would look really fake. But you said these are really natural looking so I'm willing to try :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this outfit! It's so cute. So glad to find more tiny Asian people like me who struggle to find cute clothes that fit!
ReplyDeleteYou look super sexy in this dress. :)
ReplyDeleteEnter me in the drawing pls. Reason I enter is because I would never buy false eyelashes and try them. :) But if I win it, I might give it a shot.
I'd love to try these on my eyes! Cute outfit, and love your blogs for tips and inspirations.
ReplyDeleteAngelina
Wow!!! Pretty dress (L)
ReplyDeleteEnter me please, I'm a follower via gfc as Victoria and I'd love to try falsies because I've never tried them I'd love to use for dramatic looks!!
Thanks!

I've actually been looking for the perfect fake lashes that look natural and not "tranny" like haha I'd love to enter this contest!
ReplyDeleteP.S. You're going-out look is still so classy but with a bit of edge - very you :)
I have only wore falsies once and it made me look great. I would love to find a brand of false lashes that I really like.
ReplyDeleteThose eyelashes look very natural on you!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try a pair of Model 21 eyelashes! I just recently started trying falsies and have yet to find natural looking eyelashes.
The lashes look really nice and natural :) Enter me in the giveaway too! I'm especially intrigued by the last pair that you showed in ur video^^
ReplyDeleteWow. You look fabulous in your "going out" look. Polished and chic as usual. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to enter this contest. I definitely need help in the lash department. I feel like over the years my lashes have gotten thinner to the point where somedays I feel like I have none. I also hate that my hubby has "prettier and longer" lashes than me.. ha ha. I guess that's what happens when you're asian. Count me in on the giveaway. I'd love to give those a try!
xx Love & Aloha
**and yes I'm a follower, been for a while now. :)
Hi, love the zebra print look, I am sat in my zebra print pjs writing this! I am also the proud owner of some zebra print stilletos - a big fan! I'd love to try the falsies as I'm searching for some that will be just right for my vintage wedding look - I'm hoping for quite dramatic make up, but here in the UK I can only find really fake over the top ones so far that just wouldn't do it! We don't have this brand over here and I'd love to try! Thanks x
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute dress. I love the animal print. Perfect for a bawdy night out!
ReplyDeleteAlso, be sure to check out my blog for a chance to win a pair of earrings! Hope to see you over there.
xo Becca @ Free Honey
The dress looks amazing! Perfect cut and length on you. I've been looking to try some false lashes and reading lots about Model 21 lately. I'd love to try them!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try because I've never tried false lashes before!
ReplyDeleteWow, great giveaway! I'd like to win because I've tried false lashes about twice in my life. Once for high school prom-they looked nice but felt horrible and bulky on my eyes all night-couldn't wait to take them off by the end of the night! And the second time for going out, I cut a pair of lashes down-they looked great but the adhesive wasn't too strong and I worried about them falling off all night! I'd love to try out a better quality pair to see how I like them as I'd like to start wearing falsies alot more often for going out! Thanks for the chance. I follow you on bloglovin! :)
ReplyDeleteTake Care

You look great! And I love the eye lashes on you.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try them, since I have very little eyelashes :)
These lashes look great on you, very natural. I don't wear falsies since I've always had the impression that they look fake. But if they look natural, like the way they look on you, I'd love to try them.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower. I'd love to win this giveaway because, having grown up as a tomboy and just turning 28, I'm trying to revamp my closet and my makeup routine!
ReplyDelete"Model21 asked me to review their lashes months ago and I provided my information to them, but they never mailed it"
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry April, your info must have gotten lost. Please email visit our site http://www.model21eyelashes.com and use the "live help, offline leave a message" to send me a message & I we can get you going.
Thank you to Jean for the wonderful review!
Aria
I love these lashes on you they look so pretty and natural! I've never worn falsies before and would like to try them out to wear to dinner or a party.
ReplyDeleteI too am a late bloomer with makeup. Never tried falsies but I am intrigued so pls consider this comment as my entry to your contest. Your makeup is excellent - minimal but tasteful. In this video though, I love how you smoked your eyes. Pretty as always...
ReplyDeleteI think your natural look is gorgeous. I'm like you in that I don't wear lots of makeup normally and just slightly modify my look to get the look that I'm after.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try out the lashes since well..I'm addicted to falsies and am always looking for the next thing. I'm going to go try them out whether or not I win, so I'm going to ask you for a rec - which ones were your favorites and what # were they? :)
Gorgeous as usual. Not everyone can pull off animal print, but I love how the dress looks on you. I will definitely be trying some of those makeup items on your list!
ReplyDeleteVery cute outfit and makeup (:
ReplyDeleteI like wearing false lashes for parties because they make my eyes a lot bigger. I'm a monolid so I get the crease with falsies. I've been looking for a more natural looking pair of lashes since I don't want to look too dramatic - going from monolid to double eyelid is dramatic enough!
Would love to try those lashes since they're perfect for my use. Harder lash spine = greater crease; and the more natural looking lashes, the better.
Love the shoes ! So bling ! hehe
ReplyDeleteI would love to try these lashes because I've tried many Ardell's before.. and I can't seem to get the glue to stay on ?? Idk.. I'm such a noob.. and I've tried every single way possible.. Even got DUO glue.. but it keeps coming off.. I think it's because I have a monolid and the false eyelashes tend to touch my lid alot... I've been using the Revlon Intense ones with the glue already in the lashes, but they only stay on for a few hours.. I want to buy more lashes, love the look of them, but it's pretty much 4-10$ for 1 pair of lashes here.. I tried ordering some from eBay, but the ones I got, the band was wayy too thick. Maybe I just need more practice ? Lol..
Hello bombshell! You look very sexy and stylish (and sooooo pretty). Love the contrast of black and white zebra print. Those photos look more and more like fashion shoots, your bf did an amazing job.
ReplyDeleteI've only had them put on for me by makeup artists for weddings (always a bridesmaid...) but can't seem to put them on myself! Do you use duo clear or duo black?
ReplyDeleteNice dress + shoes! I like H&M for belts, it's one of the few (err.. one of the ONLY!) stores where things run a bit small.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so glad you were able to try them, and Model21 was kind enough to supply you with 3 different styles. I forgot which styles I own. I will go home and write back once I find out what # they are. (I'm surprised not ALL the different styles are avail on Model 21's site.)
ReplyDeleteA few things I wanted to comment on:
1. I forgot to mention the band on *some* Model21 lashes are hard and plastic-y. Luckily, since I get to view them in person, I try to pick out the ones that are least so.
2. To the other readers, putting on false lashes just takes practice. Don't give up, my friends. I recommend cutting the lashes shorter than your whole eye length and not sticking it too close to the inner corner (which will create MAJOR irritation) or too far from the outter edge. Also, for monolids or beginners, don't buy the thick lashes, even for nighttime. It will be too heavy and will give you a lazy-eye look.
Great going-out outfit!! An embellished pair of shoes is so great to give an outfit that extra glam!
I'd like to win because I still haven't had the change to try falsies!
ReplyDeletethifas blog(at ) gmail(dot ) com
Wow..u look great in the dress!
ReplyDeleteAMAZING DRESS!!! I am in love with it and totally need something like that to spice up my wardrobe! I guess I should rifle through H&M more often, huh? :)
ReplyDeleteLove this look! I have a few dresses from H&M as well! They fit quite well but some can look a bit long on me!
ReplyDeleteWow, you look amazing!!! I love the dress and glam face :D
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! The dress is really nice! xX
ReplyDeleteWooot, you look like the Queen of the jungle in that zebra printed dress. Your look fabulous, sexy but classy, all things a woman should look like :)
ReplyDeleteI never try wearing falsies. I don't have steady hands so I might as well just give up before I try putting them on :p
www.monochromachic.com
Aubrey - please let me know the style #s of your favorite lashes? It's so hard to choose just by looking at photos online.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for sharing the helpful tips - you're right, it takes lotsa practice! I see beauty guru's literally "plopping" the lashes on and having them land perfectly on their lashlines...not so much here! Lots of tugging and smearing to get the band remotely close.
Love that dress and those shoes are hot!!
ReplyDeletehttp://fashion-rocks-idreamtomodel.blogspot.com
Tracy - Sorry I missed your question! I don't use DUO...I use some "andrea" brand from CVS that looks pretty common. I tried black and it was a disaster on me...squirted everywhere, stained my fingers and smeared on my eyelids. I think the clear works quite well and it doesn't really show on the lids.
ReplyDelete
