On another note, my mind is all about Fall dressing now. I can't wait to pick up new stuff in cozy knits, unique textures, and vibrant Fall colors. Some items on my watch list:
Geo Jacquard Skirt in 00p, will you run small? LOFT skirts to date have been misses for me.
Wool Donegal Skirt in 00P
Brooks Brothers, for the rich & preppy. When did you start making this size?
Grey Melange Seamed Pant in 00P
Inseam is 25.5" so the length should fit better than my Gap Slim Crops (24" inseam)!
Double-Serge Pencil Skirt in 00P
Love this skirt on Callandra. I know alterations will be needed for someone my size, but what other retailer makes pencil skirts in such divine colors?
Silk Lace-Front Shell in XXSP
This would look nice under a jacket. But knowing BR, this will probably be roomy w/ an indecently low neckline.Love the equestrian details. I'm getting these once they hit stores...probably in sz large.
Silence & Noise Cocoon Cardigan in XS to wear over dresses and skinny bottoms.
See it here looking cozy on MichLA

Ooo I like tweedy pencil skirts... wonder how the Brooks Brothers 00P fits. The BR lace top is pretty but I'm probably not even going to bother! I'm way too familiar with how ill-fitting their tanks are. Anything in your upcoming blog sale that's small enough for me? :D
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for your BLOG SALE! I don't wear office clothes anymore, but hopefully I will find blouses! I can't wait! :)
ReplyDeleteive been contemplating this idea for SO LONG. good for you for actually doing it. it takes a lot of work.
ReplyDeletexx lue
Ouu those gray pants and the cardigan <3
ReplyDeleteYay I have nothing better to do and I'm interested in what you'll have up! If you don't mind, could you tweet a bit beforehand?
ReplyDeleteOh no... I envision me and April fighting over stuff hehe :p
ReplyDeleteSweet! Looking forward to the blog sale!
ReplyDeleteI love that yellow J.Crew skirt! Darn you J.Crew! And your non-petite friendly sizing!
ooo i like the pants :) can't wait for your blog sale! i don't have paypal though .. boo. probably a good thing or else i'd spend more than i already do D:
ReplyDeleteWell, I can pretty much see that the petite blogging scene will not rest until I've given in and bought that mustard-colored J.Crew skirt. *sigh* You win. Again.
ReplyDeleteLoving the grey and black skinnies and the yellow skirt. i have never set foot on brooks brothers before....hahha i don't even know what they sell. gotta go check it out. ;)
ReplyDeletethe gap kids' pants are so droolicious! they look so sharp and chic * ) i have a skirt in that shade of yellow (got it for much cheaper. then again, jcrew's prices are insanly astronomical!) and love it to bits. i find yellow to be as versatile as black, white and red. can't wait to check out your sale!
ReplyDeleteSophia - Great idea...I'll give twitter friends a one hour preview to this not so exciting sale, haha : )
ReplyDeleteI have paypal buttons set up though so there will be no emailing...just first come first serve.
Metta - Yellow truly is almost as versatile as black. I wore my mustard cardigan to pieces and now need more mustard in my life.
Ping - They sell country club-esque stuff...think button downs, polos, seersucker in what I'm pretty sure are not petite friendly sizes. I can almost surely say there's not much for you there : )
Yvette - did you buy yet? AN - Oh how I would love even a 20% off sale or something to help stomach the cost of alterations...oh J.Crew, I hate you.
Loving all your Fall picks especially the first skirt. My mind is on Fall shopping too. I am looking forward to your blog sale. That is exciting! I hope to find something would fit me.
ReplyDeleteLike the second skirt! I don't really have any money for fall shopping, though.
ReplyDeleteYou always have the best coupons for UO!I'm browsing the website now! Hahaha :D And thanks for sharing the tips on how to apply 2 coupons at the same time. That's really helpful!:)

My thoughts have turned to fall as well. I love layering. This summer has been hot and humid so it's been all about keeping cool.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, that gold skirt. ::: (That's me making grabby hands!) Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for the petite fashion challenge! :)
ReplyDeleteHey there. I've been lurker for the past few months and really enjoy all your blog posts. All your outfits are so cute and your tips are excellent! I'm also a petite shopper (4'11, 105lbs; athletic) and getting things to fit is sometimes difficult; so I really do appreciate all your hard work with the blog, and keeping this community informed on what works and what doesn't! :) I'll try my best to keep up and comment on your future posts!
ReplyDeletejust bought stuff from UO b/c of your post.. oh man definitely failed at the no shopping til labor day thing =X
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout-out! I wear the S&N cardi with *everything* and am so glad I bought it! Am thinking of buying another one in grey now that you posted up those coupons.
ReplyDeleteDon't buy that cocoon beige cardigan.. the quality of that fabric is horrible.. it pills like crazy. I have the exact same cardigan and it was purchased from Winners in Toronto for $19.99. Seems like they just put their name on the labels when they are all from the same supplier...
ReplyDeleteThe JCrew double serge pencil skirts are on my wishlist too. I have heard they run small this year.
ReplyDeleteIf you have a Jcrew card, they do "free tailoring." This means shortening only at the Copley Jcrew (the tailor charges $20 for taking the sides in - so I declined; my own tailor will do it for $10). I have heard that the tailor in the Lechmere Mall Jcrew is great but haven't used him yet because he only works on Mondays.
The Lechmere J.Crew does private shopping for groups of three and I think offer 20% if you and two friends take them up on it - makes no sense for petites though as nothing petite is offered in store!
The mustard-colored skirt is gorgeous! x
ReplyDeletewaigirley - oh my, such mixed feedback! MichLA loves it...but thanks for the heads up : )
ReplyDeleteAnnapurna - oh wow, you really have the dish on the local J.Crews. That really sucks that hemming is the only alteration they do...waist is the biggie! Do you mind sharing who your tailor is that does it for just $10?
I think the folks at the Lechmer Jcrew are the friendliest and most helpful - they let me use an in-store only code online and get me free shipping. I like Kristin in particular - she is really helpful.
ReplyDeleteMy tailor works under the table when she probably is not supposed to - but I love her - I will PM you the info because I don't want to put it on the net and get her in trouble. Anyone who is interested in an affordable boston tailor can PM as well for the deets - but you must swear to secrecy!
